A new project to help tackle LGBT hate crime 
The Equality and Human Rights Commission has launched a 16 month long project to tackle significant under-reporting of hate crime against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people in Great Britain

Government to create new domestic abuse offence 
The Home Secretary has announced a new domestic violence offence of coercive and controlling behaviour.  The maximum penalty for this offence with be five years imprisonment or a fine

A research project commissioned by the College of Policing into the use of accident and emergency data has shown that sharing information with local partners has potential benefits to reducing crime

Working successfully with Crime Prosecution Service and Courts 


Derby City Council has worked very closely with their local CPS and courts over a number of years and, at this event, will provide ideas about how you can progress this important relationship locally and how to address some of the barriers you may experience.  This event was so successful when held in September we are offering it again to allow more people to attend.
